Check this out!

I don't normally ask people for votes but in this case it is warranted. My friend Michelle from Sonoma Nail Art is in a contest at OPI. She does some of the most amazing hand painted nail work I have ever seen! So please click the link below and give her a vote, there is only one more day and she really deserves it!

Model's Own-Beetlejuice!

Well the British Invasion has arrived. My very first Model's Own polishes and I couldn't be more excited. We did a group order on these to purchase the new BeetleJuice Collection which became available on November 1st. I woke up at 5am to purchase 46 bottles of happiness for my polish junkie friends. Overall I am very happy with these polishes. The colors are beautiful and most of them are multi-chromatic. They have nice formula although the stunning Golden Green tends to leave some brushmarks. Well, I want to see what you think so here are the pics!

This first set of images is Emerald Black. Surprisingly this was the least
ordered out of our group, yet I think it's my favorite. You all know
what a sucker I am for a dark, brooding green. This is almost black in the second pic,
yet it has beautiful flashes of sparkling green. All of these pics were taken in
artificial lighting.

Here you can see that beautiful flash of Emerald. This formula was great
but it definitely needs 2-3 coats. This was 3.

The next color in the collection is Purple Blue. A really pretty
pinky purple with the most amazing flash of blue. This is
a bit of fine glitter and a coat of Gelous works nicely over the top.

Now this baby is the sleeper of the group in my opinion. It is Aqua Violet
and in the bottle and even after the first coat is kind of sheer and blah.
But be patient Ladies! This requires 3 coats and BAM!
Absolute multi-chromatic Madness!

Look at that color shift, mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm.

Now the Pinky Brown is another glitter albeit very fine. This is
another 3 coater but very pretty. It is also very multi-chromatic and
when the light shifts,
WOOT! Look at the gold in this polish!

The last one is Golden Green and sadly this is not a dupe
for Chanel Peridot. I think the closest to Peridot is definitely
Ozotic 507, they are almost identical. However this is a really pretty
green and if you aren't looking for a dupe, then this will not let you down.
It does however have a tiny issue with brush marks. Still Amazing though.

Well I hope you liked the BeetleJuice Collection and if you are interested you
can purchase them from the Model's Own website. They are 5£ and the shipping is 9.95£
from the UK. We were also able to get a refund after we ordered for the VAT tax,
so in US they came to about $5.21 a piece, for an order of about 23 bottles. And because you
have all been so patient and made it this far, I am going to give you a special treat. This
next polish is not from BeetleJuice, it is part of the regular collection and WOW, is it gorgeous! I give you
Peacock Green!

See you Soon, Polish Junkies!

I may be a little partial but......

I love Ozotics! Today I have the new Mish Mash polish, 533 and you are not going to believe how gorgeous it is! It is a mixture of the prettiest dark blue and purple you will ever see. The formula is wonderful but be aware you need to put these over something dark, as recommended on the Picture Polish website. These come from Australia and if you see something you like, send me an e-mail at slbarnet@gmail.com and I will fulfill your Ozotics desire! Now to the important business at hand, the pictures!

I wanted to do some beautiful outdoor pics for you but being WI in the fall, no sun!
We will have to make do with flash and artificial lighting!
The first two show the amazing rainbow effect with emphasis on blue.
The next one shows the beautiful purple shade that comes out.

More rainbow holo goodness!

Sorry this is so picture heavy but I just couldn't narrow it down!
Again these lovely polishes come from Picture Polish and you can purchase them online here
You can purchase them from me by e-mail or you can also get them from Llarowe who is
another US Stockist not only of Ozotics and Picture Polish but A-England, Hits from Brasil,
Glitter Gal and Ludurana, just to name a few! And she has amazingly fast and cheap shipping!
So Run! Get your Ozotics! Thanks for looking!

Mish Mash polishes are here!

These are polishes from the girls at Picture Polish that are a little slice of heaven! They are holographic multichromes with a little shot of glitter! I ordered 531 and 532 and I can hardly wait for 533 and 534. The formulas are very similar to the other ozotics. They go on very nicely. I will however let you know, these should be used over a very dark or black polish. The pictures I will share are of 532 over OPI Cuckoo for this color and the pictures of 531 are over Zoya Raven. 531 is also beautiful over a dark red like Illamasqua Scarab. OK lets get to the pictures!

This is 532, it contains a lot of teal and purple. The multichromatic effect in these
polishes is amazing, that is why I took so many pictures!

532 again, some gold and purple

A closer view of the gorgeous teal!

This is rainbow in a bottle!

Now we switch to 531, it has more gold, red, rust

Maybe a hint of green?

There is that sparkle but this is still 531!

Macro shot of 531

Here you see the red and gold

And finally the multichrome rainbow!
WHEW!
That  is a lot of gorgeous! Ozotic Mish Mash polishes come from
Picture Polish which can be seen here.
If you are interested I am happy to order them for you, just send me an e-mail for details.
Thanks for visiting!

Catrice Bohemia Collection

Well today I want to show you some gorgeous polishes from the Catrice Bohemia collection. I have three out of the four in the collection and I love all three! I received them in a swap from my generous friend Claudia and I couldn't wait to show them to you! Without further ado!

This first color is Be Indiglow! this was with flash. It has a great formula and all of
these are 2 coats with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

The second color I just LOVE! I am a huge fan of rusts and copper and browns.
This is the best of all of them and it's called Bring Me Terra-Copper!

The brush is great! I first used a brush like this on Dior polish. It is very thick
and flat  and while I didn't think I would like it, I actually LOVE IT!
It makes it easy to get nice coverage very quickly.

The last color I have is a gorgeous red and it is called Looking Sunkissed!
That name makes me think orange but this is a stunning bright red that everyone must own.

Well I hope you liked these pictures, Catrice has some amazing polishes if you
can get your hands on them. That is the problem, these are not available here in the US unless you have
some wonderful swap buddies or can find them on ebay or in a blog sale.
Make no mistake, if you can get your hands on them, they will be worth it!

Well I never!

I never thought there would come a day when I would be reviewing Clarins 230, affectionately known as Unicorn Pee. I splurged on a bottle on E-bay and let me tell you it was worth every penny! It is truly a rainbow in a bottle! Application is flawless and over a dark base polish you could probably get away with one coat, although I always feel more is better so I used two. I layered over Zoya Raven which is a gorgeous black. I was able to show a lot of color shift but to be honest, you really need to see this in person to get the full effect. There is a green/gold shift, and a red, orange, rust shift. It is just amazing! I wish I could tell you it was easy to find but it's not. It has been discontinued and is therefore worth its weight in gold! Now to the pics!

I thought this last picture showed the color shift the best. It goes from red to gold. This is an amazing polish to add to your collection. If you have the opportunity to own it, I say Go For It!

I am going to add another picture in here, I just received a studio in a box lighting kit and even though this was a quick pic and its a little blurry, it shows the green and gold shift in this polish very well.

See you next time!
